Milisav Miko Obradović: The genius invention that saved thousands of lives

A breathtaking, film-worthy story, told publicly for the first time on our platform!

Milisav Miko Obradović left Montenegro at the age of eighteen, hoping to "escape" the poverty and hard rural work that had marked his entire childhood.

He began his professional path in Belgrade as a mechanical engineering student, before moving to Germany, where he worked as a taxi driver, in a care home, at McDonald's, and at the Milka chocolate factory.

Miko completed his university degree in Germany at 35, after which he joined a company in medical technology. In 2009, together with his business partner, he founded Bentley InnoMed, firmly convinced he could patent a product that would change things on the global market. And he succeeded…

Three years later, the Bentley heart stent was launched — saving hundreds of human lives across the planet every single day!

Today, the company our panellist founded has more than 400 employees and, according to the Financial Times, is the top-ranked German firm in the 'Europe's Long Term Growth Champions 2025' category.
